Profile Groups fonts not the same

  • Yes, that’s correct. I see the same. Therefore, I assume that is an intentional design decision. It looks worse on your screenshot than it does on my PC; obviously, our computers have different fonts installed.

If an intentional design decision then it is a poor one!

This has nothing to do with BuddyPress. It has all to do with the design and styling of the theme you are using. Switch to the default BuddyPress themes (bphome and bpmember) and you will see this problem go away.

Talk with the person who designed your theme.

Umm, they are the themes i am using?

Yeah, I think Jeff only looked quickly and/or needed more coffee. You can always change the font using CSS on your site if you want, that’s straightforward

I can but should that really be needed?

Would it not be best to make the themes are consistent!

    Carpconnect-

DJPaul was correct about me needing more tea!

When I looked at the image link you provided, it sure seemed like you were using a custom theme, not the default BuddyPress theme. It still looks like that to me.

So, you are saying that you are using the bphome theme which is installed in /wp-content/themes/ and the bpmember theme, which is installed in /wp-content/bp-themes/? You also are saying that you did not touch the code or CSS within those two theme directories at all.

If this is the case, then try reuploading just these two theme files.

Of course, this could be a browser issue. What browser are you using?

Ok i have update to new buddypress which i see changes the method used to set size.

Ok i have worked out why they are different, the ‘Me’ and ‘My Tags’ menu text are just text whereas the additional menu text that appears when selecting edit profile are links.

The menu text and links font are not the same, some people may be happy with this but personally i would prefer all text whether it heading or heading/link to be the same if it is in the same location, ie menu bar.

It looks like this something i will have try and change by creating a new style, though would have preferred this to be part of BP.

    cheers
