Question about notifications

    Hello everyone

I have a task to do and i don’t know if i can do this out of the box.

Ok so my client manage a social fitness website, each user send their performance(they can create a new post with a youtube video inside) and my client (as administrator) let a comment on each post.

He wants to receive an email notification each time a user replied to him in the comment section of the post. Actually if a user doesn’t tag him (with the @name), no notification will be send to my client and this way it’s hard for him to follow each conversation. Is there a way for my client to receive email notification for users replies only if he has written a comment on a post and without the need of the tag (because lots of users forget to include the tag on their answers)?

Hope you understand my request and sorry for my english 😉

You will need to write custom code for that task.
There is lots of existing code/plugins that does similar things.
You could probably tweak an existing plugin to only work for your client.

Google: ‘wordpress comment email notification plugin’
