Question on Compiling Member Profile Data

  • Hello all,

So my php and programming skills are sub par at best, but with enough head butting I feel I can get done most of I set out to accomplish. Any help or point in the right direction would be much appreciated.

So I am creating a website where users can create “bucket lists” (of things they want to do before they die). I would like to have each user’s profile show their unique bucket list, but also have their bucket list items post on a separate page that compiles a giant list of every members bucket list items. The reason I want to have the items compile on a separate page is because I want the members to have the ability to “vote” on the best items on this compiled list. Currently I am using WordPress 3.2.1 and Buddypress 1.5.1.

Is the best way to do this creating function that posts the user’s Member Profile Data to a separate table in my data base? If so how should I go about doing this? Any help getting pointed in the right direction would be much appreciated. Thanks.
