Site admin used to be able to visit each blog’s backend (wp-admin), but when using the latest it returns HTTP 500 error.
Yet the blog admin can normally visit its backend…
And here’s the error message from the log.
“mod_rewrite: maximum number of internal redirects reached. Assuming configuration error. Use ‘RewriteOptions MaxRedirects’ to increase the limit if neccessary.”
wpmu’s default “admin” can visit backend of all blogs.
BUT, those users who are given site-wide admin by the “admin” can’t visit backends.
Post this in the WordPress MU Trac.
Perhaps this one?
or related to above ticket.
It’s good info for other BP users though, so we’ll keep this here and open just in case.
check the file permissions
check what exactly? It’s the only “sub” admins who can’t access. Other users and sub-blog owners (admins) can login, so I don’t think file permission matters.
