Rearrange order of tabs "home" "activity" "members"

WP 2.9.1, BP 1.2 beta plugin, bbpress integrated successfully with BP

    How do I

    1. Rearrange order of tabs “home” “activity” “members” “groups” etc….

    2. Change tab labels, i.e change “home” to “blog” for example

    Also

    3. It appears only way to get to admin page is to click “edit this entry” on the “about” page…is this correct?

    1. The main navigation is hard-coded into ‘header.php’. I don’t know of way to rearrange the order other than modifying that file itself.

    2. There’s a great article about changing strings here:

    https://codex.buddypress.org/how-to-guides/customizing-labels-messages-and-urls/

That being said, while your modifying the order in ‘header.php’ you can just change the strings there.

    3. Not that I know of, although I haven’t thoroughly investigated.

Peter, many thanks, I got my courage up and edited the
“ed” (list) elements and it worked.

    Note that the first

    • ed element in the default header has to remain attached to the second
    • ed one, so that the activity/blog toggle in the appearances/themes/theme options still works properly.

At least I think this is required.

1 – manually, you have to rearrange the list order in header.php

    how to do that ?

if you use 1.2 inspire you with this:

    https://buddypress.org/forums/topic/bp-12-how-to-add-a-custom-tab-on-the-home-activity-section

3 – yes, and on each individual blog page too or by typing “wp-admin” at the end of your url: hxxp://exemple.com/wp-admin
