Redirect members directory to profile page

    Hi guys,

I have a Dutch football news site, where I want to create a community. But I don’t really like the members directory page.

I currently have the standard installation and nothing changed: website.com/leden (leden = members) and when you go to your profile you go to website.com/leden/wesszzel. But I want the leden page to completely skip the members directory and go to their profile page.

So if they go to website.com/leden they go to their own profile. And I actually want it called website.com/profiel but I know I can change that myself :).

I searched the internet but couldn’t find it.

I hope you guys can help me! Thanks in advance!

Hi, I’m kinda trying to achieve that too.

In fact, I’m searching for the profile ur. Something like https://mywebsite.com/membres/%USERNAME%/
Of course, the %USERNAME% doesn’t work.

As I can’t get the profile url, I’m trying to redirect the directory to the profile, as the directory has an url.

Please, is there a way to get a default url for the profile or redirect my visitors to the their profile when going to the directory? 🙏🏼

I waiting for your reply with great hope.

    Best wishes, 🥂
    Manathan.

    Hi @wesszzel,

I just found this article that helped me: Redirect a Page to the BuddyPress Member Profile.

    Instead of https://mywebsite.com/membres/%USERNAME%/
    Use: https://mywebsite.com/membres/me/
The use of me will redirect a logged-in user to their profile.

Thank you so much @shanebp! 🙏🏼

I can’t believe it is so simple and I couldn’t find the solution sooner. You really helped me, thank you!

    Have a nice day. 🙂
