redirection loop error? I am helpless…

Dear BuddyPress Community,

I work with the X-Theme and WooCommerce and really want to make use of the nice features of buddypress for my project, but alsways i want to go to a profile page it loads for ages and then I get a “redirecting loop” / “Umleitungsfehler” in my browser.
– I tried to install und reinstall –> so its a fresh installment
– I tried to deactivate ALL other plugins –> same error

It seems that others have similar problems: https://buddypress.org/support/tag/redirect-loop/
especially: https://buddypress.org/support/topic/redirect-loops-on-groups-and-profiles/

What makes it so strange is that i can access http://www.mydomain.com/members <– works fine!! but i cant access http://www.mydomain.com/members/username <– so maybe its a problem with the endpoints?!

would be so nice to use the plugin…

For some it seems to help to do this:
Try adding this code snippet to your wp-content/plugins/bp-custom.php:
remove_action( ‘bp_template_redirect’, ‘bp_redirect_canonical’, 2 );

can anyone explain this to me? i dont want to modify core-functions?!
