Refresh Page after Change Profile Photo & Cover Image

WP version: WordPress 4.4
BP version: Buddypress Version 2.4.3

Hi,

I am developing a WordPress site with Buddypress profile function. One thing is that when I upload a new profile photo or cover image, the page doesn’t refresh and show the new image. I need to refresh the page after successful upload to view the new uploaded image.

I want to insert a code to refresh the page after each successful upload. Any help on which file and function is the function to uploading avatar & cover image?

These classes both extend BP_Attachment:
- https://github.com/buddypress/BuddyPress/blob/master/src/bp-core/classes/class-bp-attachment-avatar.php
- https://github.com/buddypress/BuddyPress/blob/master/src/bp-core/classes/class-bp-attachment-cover-image.php

I have found both the functions as per your advice. But I still can’t seem to refresh the page after successful upload. Is it save to presume that I need to do this in the Javascript file, namely avatar.js and cover-image.js? If so, which function will I need to insert the refresh page code then?

You could create a mini plugin for this which uses wp_enqueue_script to enqueue a custom script.

You use JavaScript and hook into Ajax

This is not tested but should get you on right path
```
$(document).ajaxComplete( function( event, xhr, settings ) {
  if ( settings.action === "avatar ajax action" ) {
    // reload page code
  }
});
```
