    So I have a might be tough question

    Currently have a site that users register onto to buy tickets for an event, the registration is using gravity forms to collect data and register the user on wordpress.

    This works great but i need to have an options for users to be or not to be part of the buddypress is this possible ?
    Can a user be part of wordpress to access registered user data and not be part of the bbpress/buddypress setup ?

    I have tried but there doesnt seem to be a way 🙁

    Thanks Guys

    Interesting question. As far as I understand, WordPress and BuddyPress, when at the same installation, they share the same user base/database. So at first, I’d say this is not possible.

    But, I could think of a few areas where it’d be possible.

    • In a multisite installation;
    • Installing another version of WordPress in the same server, something like, (var/yourwebsite/www/) , (var/yourwebsite/www/buddypress)
    • .

    Maybe there is a way, I can’t think of one right now. But let’s see if anybody else have some ideas share. =)
