Register Page Problem

I’ve added BuddyPress and bbPress as well as the Suffusion BuddyPress Pack and the new bbPress Pack. I’m really excited about how everything looks and works.

I am having one problem. Something seems to be conflicting with the Register page. When I fill it out and click “Complete Sign Up” It just refreshes the page.

I tried switching the theme over to the BuddyPress theme to see if that solved the problem, and it did. It took me to a page that said “Sign Up Complete” and to check my email for an activation code. Based on that, I think there is something in my Suffusion Child theme that is conflicting with BuddyPress. I don’t know where to go from here.

I have the most recent WordPress, and BuddyPress Plugin.

Any help would be very much appreciated!

    Thank you,
    Lacey

Hi, have you checked if the latest pack on Suffiusion supports the latest WordPress/BuddyPress? I see this:

    WordPress 3.0 or higher
    Suffusion 3.6.8 or higher.
    BuddyPress 1.2 or higher

To me, that may be the issue is that it is not compatible. I’d probably suggest contacting the pack authors to confirm.

    Thanks for the reply @karmatosed

On the Changelog for the Suffusion BuddyPress Pack on the WordPress page it says they’ve added support for BuddyPress 1.6.

@lacemastarson basic troubleshooting -> deactivate Suffusion BP Pack, and change to bp-default theme. See if issue is corrected.

@mercime I did do that. I mentioned it in my original post. The Register page works just as it is supposed to when the bp-default theme is activated.

I’m trying to find out what about my set up with the Suffusion theme is causing the conflict. It works with the bp-default theme, but I don’t want to use that theme. I’m wondering where do I go from here to get it working with my Suffusion theme.

There are people that use the Suffusion theme with BuddyPress, so I know it should work, and everything is working and looks great — except for the register page. Which is arguably the most important part.

I don’t think any of the plugins are conflicting with it, because it does work if I just switch the theme without changing anything else.
