Registering Verification Error.

I’m doing a test with my wordpress/buddypress website. I allowed member registering. I was doing a signup/login test but it keeps giving me an error. It gets to the part where they send an email for verification, but when clicking the link, it brings me to the homepage (not even signed in). I try signing in, but then it says “ERROR: Your account has not been activated. Check your email for the activation link.”
How do I fix this?
