Remove formating from buddypress.js

    Hey guys,

I can understand why buddypress.js has been created to run ajax to seamlessly update activity however burried in this code is a lot of (I feel) unecessary formating which I don’t understand. There is a animation script here to resize the activity update box when selected. (If the focus is core functionality, this seems like fairy dust).

I really don’t need this feature and it is causing my activity input form fields to be chopped in half so users have to scroll down the frame to press the ‘post update’ button.

Question is, how can I remove all js formating and just have a nice, simple, boring, ajax input box?

    Any help, hugely appreciated 🙂

    Cheers,

    Andrew

Tend to agree, however it’s not necessarily core functionality it’s located in the templates directory and as such you can overload the file and any file there to your child theme and edit as you see fit, check the codex for explanations of the template hierarchy.

I was just curious and removed buddypress.min.js and buddypress.js
The Whats new box still works for me (with text inputs) and the update is seen instantly 🙂

@Hugo I’m not a java guy and editing those files was proving difficult… @rosyteddy you know that has done the trick! Thanks guys 🙂
