Simple idea, execution might not be so simple. I’m definitely new to this, but I need to get this account creation for buddypress so that there is no “full name” field, or merge it with user name, or at the very least, don’t make it required. I shake my head in bewilderment that there are two required name fields in the first place, especially in an age where online privacy is such a concern for our users. I know this may involve some minor coding tweaks. If you know how this can be done, please give me the path as to where the file(s) is/are that would need to be edited, what coding needs to be inserted/deleted, and where this coding needs to be added or removed. Basically, a mini tutorial if it’s not too much trouble. I have my data backed up, so I am willing to experiment if the solution isn’t well tested. Any help is very much appreciated.
