Removing “Community” page from the top menu + Registration activation email not being sent

I am trying to remove the “Community” page from the menu but I can’t find it on the list of pages on the dashboard. How do I remove this?
Also, another problem. When I sign up, a page shows up that says an activation email has been sent to my e-mail address. But I don’t get an email for a long time. What could be its cause?
