replying to activites and adding them to your favourites does not work.

Everything I am using is up to date including wordpress, my theme (which is not the default, it is one from themeforest) and buddypress.
When you click reply on an activity, it refreshes and adds ?ac=27/#ac-form-27 (or a different number depending on the activity) but nothing happens, no reply box or anything.
Similarly when you try to add an activity to your favourites nothing happens. It doesn’t even refresh. It is as if it isn’t even a link.
I deactivated all the plugins including BuddyPress Template Pack. This time when I click reply, a reply box comes up for EVERY single activity stream. Also I have noticed it actually added a / so it would be: username/?ac=27/#ac-form-27 instead of username?ac=27/#ac-form-27.
The adding and removing from favourites seems to work fine without the buddypress template pack, but I want it to work with it.
