sorry, i had to post this again because the last topic had an error and couldn’t post my post.
feel free to delete the old topic.

    anyways, i need help.
whenever i try to activate buddypress and then access my admin panel, it gives me a 500 server error.
    my host is 3ix.com.
is there anything i can do?
and do you need the error logs?

    – Did you install WP via fantastico/simplescript/or other webhost script? It’s not going to work with BP.

Site url? What is your hosting plan at 3ix.com – shared/vps/cloud? WP/BP versions? What plugins were activated in your installation when you activated BP? What WP theme was activated when you installed BP?

    i don’t know what shared/vps/cloud means.

    – It says there PHP4 or PHP5, you need at least PHP 5.2.4 or better and MySQL 5.0 or better. Check/confirm you have that.

    – Depending on the server and later plugins you will be adding, you’ll need 32MB to 64MB memory for your BP installation to work. Check with your webhost what your memory limit is for your plan and if you can increase it if it falls below 32MB.

-how can i find out what i have? it doesn’t say that anywhere.

-uhm…is that the bandwidth? if yes, i have 100 gigabyte.

I am sorry for not knowing that. I don’t know much about web hosting.

You should contact your tech support at 3ix.com regarding PHP and memory noted above.

    memory: 32 mb

    mysql: 5.0.92

    php is 5.2.17.

oh that is why it won’t work.

There are ways to increase memory limit https://codex.buddypress.org/troubleshooting/blank-pages/#memory-limit
As noted there, if can’t do it via methods posted there, ask your webhost if you can do so.
