[Resolved] Activate and Register Page Setup

  • @erica34

I am trying to get back to the second step of the BuddyPress install because I want to make an activate and register page so people can actually set up profiles and use BuddyPress. Right now if you click on Register on my website it just brings you back to the home page so I’m not sure how people can sign up to use this. I tried deleting BuddyPress and reinstalling it but its still brining me to the third step. I even downloaded a fresh version and its still skipping a bunch of steps. http://www.powerofone.org/powerofone is my domain.

Yes everything went good with that. I was trying to get the sidebar in the right place. But my register page is not working. When I click register it brings me back to the home page of my website. I need to change the link so the register page is associated with the BuddyPress register page. From my understanding that was step 2 of the setup.

You can still go to dashboard menu BuddyPress > Pages and select the name of the page you want your registration page to be. Then Save.

ok. sorry to be really dumb but what should the registration page be and how can I find it and name it? Doesn’t it redirect to a BuddyPress Page?

I too am having the same problem. The Registration page was automatically created and when I edit that page the permalink is http://pc.bradstreets.net/register HOWEVER when I click view page (or click Register in my Nav) I get my home page. I have checked the Buddypress Pages setup and it is set to the right page – I just can’t view that page in any fashion.

Ok I just had a big Dahh moment – If I sign out then the register page works.

Hello sorry to hear you are having the same problem. Are you talking about if you sign out of WordPress? I have never even seen the register page for buddypress. Its not the same as signing up for WordPress is it?
