Hi Guys. Totally new. Don’t know what I’m doing but you only learn when you have to troubleshoot something, right? So the BP install seemed like a no-brainer. Looks fine in Dashboard, but all the related pages (Activity, Members, etc.) are blank. Looked up Apache permalinks as I suspected that might be causing it due to conversations in another thread. So then I thought, “better learn what that is…” Found myself in my CPanel error logs and found these errors every time I went to the pages:

[23-Nov-2012 10:54:55] PHP Fatal error: Call to undefined function get_header() in /home6/elizalit/public_html/activity/index.php on line 9

So is the problem the header? And if so, any ideas how to resolve it? Thanks!!

Solved! Wow. Thank goodness someone else was as dumb as I was and did the same thing and someone else was smart enough to figure it out. When I was first learning this, I stupidly transferred a theme into the wrong place and was supposed to delete the files, but it was late and I forgot in the morning. So those files were causing the problem. I had to delete over 300 but luckily I knew which one caused the problem and just had to match up file size with dates and folders and now everything is working. But without that error message above, I never would have found the solution. And I only found that from searching for Apache permalinks on Bluehost. Needle in a haystack!
