Hi there,

Whenever I attempt to active/install the forum component of buddypress, I get the following error:
Warning: array_keys() expects parameter 1 to be array, string given in /home/m158dea/public_html/wp-content/plugins/buddypress/bp-forums/bp-forums-functions.php on line 586

The WordPress install was done via Softaculous install script, although I have replaced everything except wp-content and wp-config.php with a fresh download of WordPress (3.3) after reading somewhere that installing via webscript can cause issues. That didn’t seem to help though.

I’ve also tried deactivating all other plugins that I am using at the moment before attempting to active the bp-forums component.

Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Did you delete .htaccess file as well and run Settings > Permalinks again? And yes, I’ve seen many cases of webscripts mucking up WP Multisite and/or BuddyPress installations and issues resolved by installing WP manually via FTP/cpanel/etc.

I ended up nuking the database and forcing a reinstall – everything works fine now. And thus begins the lengthy process of restoring everything else.
