[Resolved] Install BP on a subdomain ONLY?

  • I was running into a conflict with another plugin on my root install that must be there. With that plugin activated I could no longer create forum topics or register users.Since so many aspects of the site need that plugin in the root, I wanted to make a subdomian to install another themed copy of the site (sans those incompatible plugins) and run buddypress as a and just link to it from the

    I attempted building a multisite before and the client’s genesis theme didn’t want to work with it. So these are not networked. I do have code in place to keep users logged in from the root site to the subdomain site.

    Is it possible to run BP from a subdomain of a non-networked site?

  • Yay got it to work. I was worried because I kept getting 500 errors when trying to install and was unsure that it would run alone in a sub directory since it is supposed to run in the root.
