[Resolved] New users can’t log in

I’m sorry if this seems a little n00bish but it’s been a while since I had to do anything with it I have completely forgot what to do.

New users are unable to log in after registering, they will follow the activation link in the e-mail sent to them and they are directed to the activity stream. They are not logged in and when they try to and invalid message appears as if they haven’t registered. Any help?

It’s tricky to say not having a link to your site as a starting point to consider things. It could be that some plugin or even your theme is interfering with the links working. Probably a good starting point would be to re-save your permlinks (this probably isn’t the issue but a good check) under settings.

Then look to see if any redirect / plugins are interacting. If you are able (and you may not be able to on a live site) set to the BuddyPress default theme and see if that solves the issue. Could you have added any custom code to the theme?

All permlinks are fine.

I have disabled my redirect, welcome pack and login lock plugins which could have affected it. No joy

I FIXED IT! YAY!

For some reason, my activate page wasn’t selected despite me doing it when I started.

I guess an update unclipped it.
