[Resolved] Problem installing integrated with WP DaVinci theme
-
There is no step by step on the template plugin… just two options. I can’t get registration or any of pages work. The side bar shows up in the middle of the the page. I have tried all the settings. nothing. Help!

@faithcoach what WP theme are you currently using? Theme demo url?
Open up that theme’s header.php file, copy all code, paste in pastebin.com, click submit and post generated URI here. Do the same for the theme’s footer.php, sidebar.php, index.php and sidebar.phpfooter.php
sidebar.php
index-3.php
@faithcoach where’s the code for your theme’s page.php? And what is the name of your theme and/or URI of the theme?
@faithcoach first of all, you’re using a theme which needs to be updated to recommended coding standards 🙂
At this point however, we will proceed with the original tags in your template files. Based on the HTML structure of your theme, you’d need to use the first option, i.e., change 16 template files within the 6 BP folders transferred to your WP DaVinci theme folder in server during the compatibility process.

Thanks, but there is no /registration folder in the buddypress pluging group at all.
Check the content of your wp-content/themes/wp-davinci-prem/ folder it should at least contain the 6 BP folders I mentioned in my previous post – /activity, /blogs, /forums, /groups, /members, and /registration
If one or more are absent, something went awry with the BP compatibility process. You should download a zipped copy of BP to your hard drive; unzip the folder, then open up the unzipped folder and open the bp-default theme folder in buddypress/bp-themes/bp-default/ and upload the the missing BP folder/s note above to your theme folder in server – wp-content/themes/wp-davinci-prem/
I have it all with in the theme if I disable the css. I only need about 10px of padding to make it perfect. But, I fan’t get the forum to function. In fact it appears there are not forums, i have four groups set, but I can’t post to any forum. Surely that is a simple setting somewhere. I can’t edit or install new forums. Do I have to delete a folder or something and start the forum install from scratch?
@faithcoach – One issue at a time, please. We’ll address the layout of the BP template files first.
Per http://faithteam.org/faithnotes/members and other BP pages which shows unstyled BP elements ==> Enable the CSS and JS of BuddyPress in dashboard menu Appearance > BP Compatibility, i.e., uncheck the two boxes to disable CSS and JS from BP and Save.
As for the Group Forums, you need to enable it first for each group. see https://codex.buddypress.org/getting-started/installing-group-and-sitewide-forums/4/#forums-faqs
When i uncheck the boxes the right side of content gets cut short. It needs about 12-15px more.
And, I can find access to groups. Is there a way to run the wizard again without loosing what I’ve done with the 16 files?

That’s why I suggested in my previous post in D.) to copy styles used in Twenty Ten theme to correct the width of the BP elements. Look specifically for styles targetting #object-nav and #subnav
I can not add groups or access forums. I get this message at the top of my compatibility plugin:
Your active theme does not include bbPress template files. Your forums are using the default styling included with bbPress.
Something is wrong with this on the inside. Suggestions?

Don’t worry about this message, you’re covered already.
