[Resolved] Problems with images in the header

Something very odd has just happened.

I was using the option in the header setup to show a random header image – I had 4 to choose from. Then for no reason that I can see the header stopped working. The dashboard Header screen showed no previously uploaded images (even though they still appear in the Media screen, marked as header images).

And it’s now stopped letting me upload new images for the header – it tells me it failed to write the file to disk when I try.

Anyone have any ideas about what on earth could be going on?

Are you using a theme or a custom theme for this? Would help in narrowing down the issue to also have a link to your site – it’s a little hard to give a response otherwise without knowing everything.

Sorry, I’ve made a child theme for the default buddypress theme. But the same happens when I activate the default buddypress theme too. The site is being developed locally at the moment, so I can’t give a link.

I just wondered if anyone had ever come across anything similar.

Well that was the weirdest thing. It seems to have been a browser problem!
