[RESOLVED] Set Activity Stream default to ”Updates” not ”Everything”

I have searched Google, this forum etc but can’t find out how to set the default Activity stream landing tab to be “Updates”. I would also like to either, completely remove the drop down menu option in Activity stream so that only “Updates”, or just have that and “Show Activity Smiles” & nothing else).

Is this possible?
