[Resolved] Two Column Page Skews Page Layout: Right Column Content Starts Under Left Column
-
WP 3.2.1 using BP 1.5 upgraded from 1.2.10
Using Upstart Blogger Futurosity Magazine theme. When I first reported this issue, I thought it was a sidebar issue. But I have noticed other people have reported it too and I’ve come to the conclusion that it’s not a sidebar issue, but a column issue.
You can see the problem on these pages:
http://www.artist-at-large.com/activity/
http://www.artist-at-large.com/members/
http://www.artist-at-large.com/blogs/The page layout is such that the navigation items in the right/content area line up with the bottom of the left column.
The workaround I’ve used so far is filling that area with content. For example, once a user is logged in, the activity update form takes the place of the empty space on the activity stream page and the page layout looks fine to a logged in user.
I’ve checked for missing div/s.
I did see a topic that mentioned switching out all of the #content ids to #main but that would break the site theme.
I also saw a topic on changing
“
to
“But I’m not using get sidebar – I hardcoded the left column where the login is.
I’m only using the left column because of spacing issues. Not using it makes the content area too wide and hard to read.
Any ideas?
