Revise "Page not found" message to tell users the article might be Private?

In BP, if a WordPress article visibility is to Private so only site members can see it, its message for non-users is misleading.
It will say “Page Not Found. The page you were looking for was not found.”
Is there a way to have it tell the user the page exists but they must login or join the site to see it? Also, if a page truly doesn’t exist, that page message should remain. Any suggestions? Thank you.
