Role selection in registration form & profile field

I am using buddypress in my wordpress site with a custom theme.Now i have to make a community with three types of members,each have different profile fields.I have searched everywhere but never found a perfect way.But i found a way to do that if users can select a role during registration & the field appears in profile page.Can anyone help me with that? please describe in details,as i’m a doctor,not a web developer & i’ve too little knowledge in coding(but i can edit php).
