Searching through forum topic’s content

Hi there. I would like to know how to make it so that the search function does not search merely by the name of the topic but also by the post’s content.
In other words, suppose someone searches buddypress.org for “Batazunga”. This post should show up, even though “Batazunga” is not in the title.

So… any ideas? I’m currently using the unified search.

Still looking for an elegant solution, might have to simply go with a google custom search :/

Agreed – not being able to search in groups/forums is annoying – I need to remove the basic search box for the blog because we’re using forums more.

BUMP – same here. Going crazy trying to figure out how to find the code to do this. How come there’s no response from Buddypress on this topic?

Not able to tell you if this plugin can work with BP 1.2.x, but if you are confortable with PHP you can find out how searching iworked in bbPress 0.9.x 2 years ago ;-)

You can also test the new bbPress plugin intented for BP 1.3
