Seeking recommendation: ecommerce plugin to co-exist with BuddyPress

hey folks
i have tried installing woo-commerce along side with BP (a brand new installation – latest versions of everything) and it just doesnt work.
so i’m looking for something that can be installed along with BP.
I have seen something called woocommerce-for-buddypress but not sure how old that is, or how well maintained. also MikMag, but that doesnt seem to be well maintained.the ecommerce side doesnt have to be integrated with the BP members (ie, i dont need to track what items have been bought by members) – i just need the ability for the 2 to work within the same template/environment…
