separate languages for wordpress and buddypress

    Hi,

I am using the latest versions of WordPress and Buddypress.
I want to use my dashboard in English because that is what I am used to.
I downloaded language pack for Buddypress but it only works if my dashboard’s language is also Turkish. When I change it back to English, Buddypress becomes english as well. I have been checking online for w few hours now but I could not find anything related to this, or maybe I did but did not understand (not so good at php codes). Is there a way to use separate languages for wordpress and buddypress?

    Here is my site: http://www.buzzluk.com

    Many thanks in advance

  • Separate languages – no, because all the plugins (and BuddyPress is a plugin) use the same language as the system. Because of the amount of hooks/filters in WordPress it’s nearly impossible (or very time and/or resources consuming) to create a reliable solution, that will switch language for plugins, but will not for WordPress.

The easiest way is to have /wp-admin in one language, and front-end – in another.

TThat plug-in seems working perfectly. This will be incredibly helpful for me. I really can’t thank you enough. Cheers.
