Separating plugin code from content/activity in streams

Hi all, I activated asocial bookmarks (sexybookmarks) plugin on the main blog, with buttons to social services.
But somehow the codes (not the images, they are stripped), appear above/below (does not matter which option I choose) all activity streams of al members.
It does not matter which plugin I choose, the streams pull the list in on all items of all members.
is this a bug or a feature? How can I activate any plugin on the main blog without it showing up on all members’s profiles, streams etc?
