Sharing Buddypress user across sites

Hey,
I have tried reading and reading but cannot seem to find a solution that works in regards to sharing a user database across two WP installations.
Got this advice but how do I do that?
You can create a centralized place as the main site with buddypress and any user that is registered can hop site to site without re registering
