If I have understood right, I was not managing the number of viewed comments – it was automatically being managed by the BP code. If you have WP 4.1.1 and BP 2.2 please try posting 9 comments (9, for example – it can be 19 also) to an Activity stream activity – you will see 5 comments with “Show all 9” or “Show all 19”
Now try with the WP 4.1.1 and BP 2.2.1 install you have:
In BP 2.2.1 the “Show All” is lost, thus if there are 9 or 19 or 90 comments *all* are displayed at once.
I have deleted this thread and closed that ticket. It seems a theme related issue – some incompatibility of new BP with new BP themes. Thanks for your time.
