@jkpi56 have you enabled registration at Settings > General? Are registration and activation pages assigned to Pages in Settings > BuddyPress > Pages?

Yes yes and yes I have done everything told and I do not have activate in any drop down menus I have activity to select I sent an email with a screen shot. I am doing all this and nothing works. WHY? How can I send you a screen shot?

I do not see were to assign any pages and I thought buddypress creates the pages. I need someone on the phone please? 850 291 8540

maybe try to create a new page (not a post!) – in the dashboard – call it “register-new” and another page (not a post!) called “activate-me”
then associate those pages in the buddypress config area ( https://codex.buddypress.org/getting-started/configure-components/#settings-buddypress-pages )
not sure if that will fix your issue, I have not seen that one.. except when permalinks needed to be resaved due to an error that another plugin created. (had to disable the other bad plugin too)
