BuddyPress.org

Please, be patient with me and don’t start screaming and telling me to do research and all this buzzz.;-) (I did research but i didn’t find help I need).I have never used BuddyPress nor any other plugin for membership. I am just trying to understand the structure and how it works. Please, somebody who has patient-replay to me. I want to know detail,step by step instructions how to work with BuddyPress.
What I understand when I activate it, it automatically creates 3 pages -1.Activity (is it like a profile page)/ 2.Memebrs (?) and 3.Groups.
Than all the other pages I have to create on my own. But my question is how? How much coding do I need to know to do that? HOw do I know how to connect those pages that they work.. I mean… I don’t know BuddyPress and I don’t know where to start. Do I have to create a wordpress page , let say named Login. Can i use some shortcode to incorporate it into OptimizePress I am using?
Could somebody explain to me those steps? If you don’t have anything nice to say, please just ignore my post. Thank you.
