Good afternoon. Buddypress I just upgraded to the latest update, and currently the subject of emails works well. I use the “WP-Mail-SMTP” plugin for my own mail server and I have had no problems. I tried to register a new user and sent correctly the activation email.
If it’s any help this pluguin.

I again checked and works for me. For example, I created a new user, I have asked friends from my account and sent the mail correctly. I canceled this friendship and I have asked from the new user account and has also sent the mail. I have not verified if message … but I imagine it also has to work.
Nothing for me. I get the well test wp mail smtp email but the side still buddypress nothing. What version of wordpress you use!? I’m in lastest version. I specify that all work great before update. Thanks again.
I checked a shipment of update messages in activity and private, and both work well.
Working with both WordPress latest version as of BuddyPress.
I think that version 2.5 buddypress that causes the problem because i just created an account but i still did not get the email. I think back to version 2.4.3
This is rare. In my installation if it works. You have seen this message left today “Paul Gibbs” in another post ?. Apparently the new version of BuddyPress does not support these functions.
“wp_mail_from or wp_from_name filters
Developers: if you’ve been using the wp_mail_from or wp_from_name filters, these do not work in BuddyPress 2.5 onwards because we no longer use wp_mail().

I haven’t looked into this yet, but nejisly’s problem may be due to the Easy WP SMTP plugin and how BuddyPress 2.5 is not compatible with it.
@nejisly – Can you try another SMTP plugin and see if that works?

Support for “WP-Mail-SMTP” and “Easy WP SMTP” will be fixed in BuddyPress 2.5.1.

Note that filters like wp_mail_from will continue to not be supported. See previous posts for how to implement the change in new versions of BuddyPRess.

Turns out all the SMTP plugins I were using didn’t work. I got one that’s working.

I use wp mail smtp and fine. What is your configuration smtp!? What error message have you!?
I used wp mail smtp, the plugin itself works, my smtp settings are correct, test mail gets send and received perfectly and no errors. But for some reason the smtp settings don’t apply to the buddypress mailing.
But it doesn’t matter anymore I guess, I now use ‘Postman SMTP’ which send buddypress emails perfect via smtp. I have no idea why buddypress mailing doesn’t work with me with wp mail smtp and other smtp plugins but it does work with Postman smtp for some reason.
Atleast the problem is solved now for me, so I’m already happy with that.
@berkelmudez please can you send the Postman SMTP link and how to configure the Postman SMTP

tried all those smtp plugins and still not activation code from buddypress, all site email and test email from the smtp plugins works ok
and idea??
