Strange php-sql errer

Hi guys. Just downloaded Buddypress, excited to get it up and running. With it’s success I’ll convert my main site from Mingle. But I have an issue. As soon as I activated on a site I was slapping together (hopefully to be big), I immediately got this SQL errer and it’s locked me out of user-interface with the site completely:

……/wp-content/plugins/buddypress/bp-forums.php on line 530

PS, could this be because I’m stubborn and am using WordPress 2.9 and not 3? I want to wait for all my favourite plugins to update or be reinvented.

Yeah, BP 1.2.6 works with WP 3.0+.
If you want to test BuddyPress in your current install, go BP 1.2.4.1 – https://trac.buddypress.org/browser/tags – Click on download zip archive link near bottom of page
