Stupid Question – Twenty Thirteen + Buddypress

Hey Guys,
Im curious if Buddypress works out of the box with Twenty Thirteen. A cursory test seems like it works except that the BP specific parts seem to be ‘off’
1) Does Twenty Thirteen work well with BP, as well as BP-default
2) Do plugins work like rtMedia, achievements, and BBpress
