Super Admin named ‘wp-admin’ – can’t view profile

  • @drwebstein

I wasn’t thinking and chose to name my Super Admin user ‘wp-admin.’

Now, when I attempt to view the profile of that user within BuddyPress at the address http://mydomain.com/members/wp-admin/ I see the WordPress admin dashboard.

Is there a way for me to fix this?

Perhaps there’s a trick that will allow me to change the username of the Super Admin?

Or a BuddyPress work-around to keep this from happening?

    Thank you,
    Adam

    – login to your phpMyAdmin
    – choose database where your WP/BP site is installed
    – find and click on yourprefix_users to open
    – scroll down to field user_login under field ID 1 (that’s you) and change to another username
    – click on save and close phpMyAdmin

    – you could change password at the same time, but it has extra steps seen here
