Template to change activity URL targets

Me again,

Where can I change the target properties for any links posted in the activity stream?

At the moment they are all opening in the same page (taking users away from your BP site when they click on them). Much better to have these set up as target=”_blank” so they open in a new browser window while keeping your BP site open in the original one.

The target attribute was deprecated in HTML 4.01 and not accepted if doctype uses strict HTML;
It’s also considered as abusive to decide in place of the user.

End of the general context and the endless discussions around this 😉

Here’s a solution, which is accepted by SEO and W3C validator.

Not tested and for information only.
