    @rchatman

    Hello,

    I would like to have all theme activity incorporated into buddy press. For Example: The theme has the ability for users to add photos and video to gallery, create events, and make coupons. I would like whenever a user adds photos or videos, creates and event or makes a coupon for that activity to show up in the activity stream. In short I want buddypress to advertise specific theme actions in the activity stream.

    You’ll need to be a reasonably competent developer, familiar with WordPress, to achieve this. There is some documentation at https://codex.buddypress.org/plugindev/bp_activity_add-2/ that might help you get started. Good luck!

    Thank you for the reply. Can you refer any developers that would have the skillset necessary to implement such a thing? Any help or insight you can provide would be very much appreciated.

    @rchatman If your theme is adding each action as new custom post type post submission.
    You can go with https://codex.buddypress.org/plugindev/post-types-activities/ approach. I can also help with custom development.

    @vapvarun Thank you for your reply and the information, this has been of great use. The problem that I am having is that the template allows for individual profile updates but I don’t see if each task is adding any kind of posts. Like users can upload pics to their profile or add coupons. I don’t quite understand how I can reference these actions to use as activities.

    @rchatman Theme codes need to be checked and based on that it can be coded for corresponding activities. If you need custom development help, You can contact admin @ wbcomdesigns.com
