If I understood you correctly, that problem will be solved in the following updates to Buddypress or will be solved when you upgrade the plugin SEO Yoast. Thanks again, regards and greetings!
@nomad48 Could you check the header.php file of your theme re whether it has
<title><?php wp_title( '|', true, 'right' ); ?></title> within <head> ... </head>
or if there’s no <title> ... </title> tag at all. The ticket I pointed out to is relevant for themes with the second scenario.

@nomad48 I’m sorry, this issue was not addressed in the latest release. If you have a test installation or a localhost, you can try to apply the latest patch imath posted in ticket to check it out.

The issues are being worked through on that trac ticket, but aren’t straightforward, the resolution should be included in the next release of BP, not sure that much can be done in advance of that by way of temp fixes but if something can be figured out we’ll post it here.
