trackback pingback problems

    Running WPMU 2.9.1 with Buddypress. 90 blogs working. Trackback, accept pingback, and attempt to ping all enabled sitewide (and checked on individual blogs).

    But blogs register no trackbacks.

    Have also tried to send a trackback from a mature WordPress blog on a separate install, and still no incoming trackbacks are registering.

    Any advice on how to begin resolving this are welcome. The particular teaching use I have in mind necessitates use of track/ping back. Thanks.

    Do trackbacks work when BuddyPress is disabled?

    Logical question. I suppose that would suggest whether its a BP or WPMU level problem.

    I’m running this “production” right now, using it with three classes of students. Do you have some confidence that I can safely disable buddy press in order to check? I’d like the trackbacks to work, but I don’t want to create a second headache if I can’t reenable buddypress.
