translate wording for page: http://domain.com/wp-login.php

how to translate the wording from english into another language at the following page ?
I am running a website in german-language, but I could not find where to translate the text at this specific page into german-language.

At Dashboard / Site Admin / Options, I have already set Default-Language to “German”
At Dashboard / Settings / General, I have already set Blog-Language to “German”.

Still this specific page does not use german-language.

    http://domain.com/wp-login.php

    like for example:
    http://testbp.org/wp-login.php

    I am using WPMU 2.9.2
Do I need to upgrade to WP3.0 in order to make this working ?

    Appreciate your help !

    Erich

It sounds like you haven’t added the German language file for WP. This page should already be translated.

no, the german language-files are actually installed at:

    wpmu / wp-content / languages / de_DE.po
    wpmu / wp-content / languages / de_DE.mo

Should there be any additional language-files for the mentioned page ?

Looks like you have things properly set up. I would search the de_DE.po file for strings on the wp-login.php file and make sure they have German translations for them. This seems very weird.

    Thanks cnorris,

I have checked the strings already in the language-file and those are correctly translated.
However those strings do not show-up in the translated language, but still in english…….
