Translation of Cover Photo

    @mechi

    Hi,

I can’t find any information of how to translate the Cover Photo descriptions.
I need this one for example in german:

“Select an image from your computer to upload or change your cover photo. The image must be larger than 1140px in width and 452px in height (1140×452 pixels) to attain quality cover photo.

Click below to select a JPG, GIF or PNG format photo from your computer and then click ‘Upload Image’ to proceed.”

Any idea, where this piece of text can be found and replaced?

    Thank you!
    Daniel

    Hi,

Please install https://wordpress.org/plugins/loco-translate/ plugin and then go to plugins menu of this plugin’s setting and find BuddyPress there and there you need to search this string and translate.

    Thanks

    Hey Prashant,

thank you for your answer. Loco Translate was already installed and I’ve also already searched for the addressed string without finding it.
I read somewhere else that the cover photo extension is not yet translateable?
As a short hand solution, in which files or in which database table can I find these texts so I can translate them there?

    Greetings,
    Daniel

    Hi,

Instead of the plugin, have you checked in your active theme? This might be there as well if you have BuddyPress based theme.

Please install this plugin https://wordpress.org/plugins/string-locator/ and try searching the string if it is anywhere in files then you will find it or else you have to go for database search.

    Thanks
