Hi everyone …

i’m running bp 1.2.2.1 on wordpress 2.9.2 everything works fine (almost) but my site is in portuguese!

being that i don’t want to wait for a bp translation i decided to update the theme i was running (the buddypress part) , by translating it direct from the php code of my child theme (don’t know any other way to do it)

my problem now is that when i insert accent in words such as café or words with ç or ó or ã and such, it shows all crazy on the front end!

for example- http://brasilcanadasite.ca/activity

if you go to the drop down menu (sorry it’s all in portuguese) and you’re using firefox you’ll see a few question marks and if it’s on explorer you’ll see squares!

I’ve googled it EVERYWHERE with no success, i’m not a total noob but this is killing me!
