which BP version ? WP version ? Theme name ?
Have you the same problem when you try to delete a user from the dashboard ?

I am using wordpress 3.5.1 and buddypress 1.6.5 with status theme. I tried deleting users with different theme as well, but failed to do so, I am running multisite and am able to to remove user for wordpress admin panel, but cant do it from frontend buddypress profile.

this is what i suspected. 😉
Go to your theme support and see if a solution is provided on that forum.
You can also go throught the theme code and try to find the issue, maybe a missing tag probably or you can use another theme.
I wouldn’t recommand you the template pack to do that, because BP 1.7 is a few days/weeks away and would normally fit with most existing themes.
If this is your first BP install and if you’re building already a site, consider of upgrading now to BP 1.7RC2
It’s not an issue with ‘Status’ theme. might be with how you have configured BP & MS?
