I was able to successfully install the Buddypress plugin and its working fine as well. However, I am unable to setup forum. When I login to my admin dashboard (as Administrator for WP MU), I can see the link “BuddyPress” in the admin area. But when I click on “Forum Set Up” link, I get the follwoing message (pasted below).

How do I create a new forum from admin area? I can’t see any option to create a forum/thread either when I go to my website and click on “Forum” tab.

Please help!

i am having the same problem – it appears to work however when you go to /forums you get a 404 page for the blog…

You create a forum as part of a group; you can’t get standalone forums. If you had existing groups you need to go to the ‘admin’ page of each group and enable its forum.

@snapstart, I think that’s a different issue. Would you make a separate post please?
