Updating to latest trunk version

    I deactivated buddy press as suggested in order to update to the latest “trunk” version and now I’m getting a blank white screen :) I canot access my wp-admin or do anything.

    Any suggestions to get my website back up and running would be great lol.

    I was having the site wide activity issue and since I deactivated buddy press WPMU is not working.

    How do I get my website up and running?

    It’s a blank white screen because the theme is erroring out on you looking for Buddypress. :)

    Always check your error logs on the server. You may have to temporarily rename the theme folder to be able to get into the backend.

    I renamed the twire folder and I was able to access my admin.

    I activated the buddy press once again and my site is working.

    Very scary.

    Everyone needs to remember that many BP plugins break going from 1.1 to 1.2. This is a small price to pay for all the refactoring done but it means you’ll be better off moving all your old BP plugins out of the plugins folder before getting BP 1.2 smooth and then bring them back in 1 at a time.

    Additionally, I have found it quite common that some ftp clients do an incomplete load and reloading the bp files again solves the problem (like @bbrian017’s undefined BP function errors)

    After reverting back from this “upgrade” my site activity is no longer working!
