Urgent : How to disable html in activity stream ?

    User updates that may contain div, img, em etc OR blog posts that may contain these tags completely jeopardizes the text display in activity stream.
    The img tag is selectively needed for activity updates from bp-album.
    Disallowing div, img etc in $activity_allowedtags in bp-activity-filters.php does not help as it kills the css /thematic output in activity stream.

    Now how to disbable html output corresponding to html input (div, img, strong, em etc) via user status update form or via blog posts ? (at the same time img tags from bp-album activity updates need to be kept intact)
